3,500 Jewish Displaced Persons Expected to Arrive in United States This Month

Approximately 3,500 Jewish displaced persons will arrive in the United States in September, it was announced today by Isaac L. Asofsky, executive director of HIAS. Registration of individuals for immigration to the U.S. under the DP Act of 1948 ended Aug. 31, he said.
