Delegates attending the meeting here of the United Jewish Educational and Cultural Organization (UJECO) agreed today to continue the group’s activities, which were described as seeking to further Jewish education. It was pointed out by delegates attending the meeting that this was especially important in view of the fact that UJECO’s work has been recognized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.

Permanent headquarters for the organization will be established in Paris under the directorship of Dr. Geoffrey Widoger. Regional UJECO parleys will be called in the near future. Mrs. Barnett Janner, wife of the member of the British Parliament, who presided at today’s session, reported that the organization is now actively supported by the Board of Deputies of British Jews, Jewish Colonization Association, American Jewish Committee, Agudas Israel, Anglo-Jewish Association and Federation of Swiss Jewish Communities.
