The American Bar Association yesterday rejected the United Nations convention to outlaw genocide. However, in a “compromise” resolution adopted after a stormy three-hour session in the Association’s House of Delegates the lawyers condemned the mass killing of innocent peoples. The reason given for the rejection of the convention was that it involved vital Constitutional questions and it was feared that an international tribunal to punish violations of the convennight supersede American courts.
