A mass protest rally against the United Nations Conciliation Commission’s report recommending the internationalization of Jerusalem has been scheduled by the Jerusalem municipality for this Saturday at noon, it was announced today. The protest meeting, whose main slogan will be “We Will Never Accept Foreign Rule,” will be addressed by Deputy Mayor Reubon Shraibman in the absence of Mayor Daniel Auster who is presently in Europe.

An official communique tonight revealed that the mixed Israel-Transjordan armistice commission had established a subcommittee to investigate a Transjordan complaint that Arab residents of the village of Wadi Fukin had been driven out of their homes for a second time shortly after they had returned under orders of the armistice commission. The subcommittee will report back to a meeting of the parent body next week.
