All of this city’s diplomatic corps participated in memorial services this week-end for Count Folks Bernadotte, U.N. mediator assassinated in Jerusalem last year. All flags flying over the city were at half-mast.

Memorial services at the Saint Andrews Scottish Church in the new city were attended by Dr. Abraham Biram, representing the Israel Government, Colonel David Shealtiel, representing the Army and President of the Supreme Court Dr. Moshe Smoira, Jerusalem Deputy Mayor Reuben Shraibman and representatives of national institutions and organizations. General William E. Riley headed a delegation of members of the U.N. staff. At U.N. headquarters here, two minutes of silence were observed at 5 P.M., the hour of Bernadotte’s death.
