More than $600,000 was raised in Canada for the Histadrut this year, it was reported here last night at a meeting of the board of directors of the Canadian Association for Labor Palestine. The organization set a $900,000 goal for next year’s campaign.
A resolution calling on the Canadian Government to use its influence to help keep Jerusalem “an integral part of Israel” was also adopted. Abraham Harman, Israel consul general, who spoke at the meeting, stressed the role of the Histadrut in the upbuilding of the Jewish state and appealed for greater efforts in Canada in behalf of the Israel labor federation.
