Asserting that the “differences between Conservative and Reform Judaism are only chronological, quantitative and personal, not ideological, “Rabbi Morris Liberman, spiritual leader of the Baltimore Hebrew Congregation, declared this week-end at the opening exercises of the 75th academic year of Hebrew Union College that the cooperation and merger of the Reform and Conservative wings of American Judaism are desirable for realization of the vision of a united American Jewish community.
Nine new students in the Reform rabbinical institution were welcomed by Dr. Nelson Glueck, president of H.U.C. Greetings were also extended by A.B. Cohen, member of the board of governors of the College.
