The trial of eight Los Angeles Jews charged with conspiracy to violate the Neutrality and Export Acts in the shipment of aircraft to Israel last year without a license will open in the Federal Courthouse here tomorrow.
The defendants — all of whom entered not guilty pleas — will be represented by former Supreme Court Judge Isaac Pacht and William Strong. Five of the defendants are former U.S. veterans. The defendants are: Leo Gardner, Reynold Selk, Herman Greenspun, William Sosnow, Samuel Lewis, Al Schwimmer, Abraham Levin and Jay Leonard.
