Successful tests were completed recently in inducing artificial rain in Israel, it was officially stated yesterday. The tests were carried out with the assistance of the Ministry of Agriculture, in accordance with methods current in the United States, by which dry ice is “sowed” from an airplane in clouds. A spokesman of the Ministry said that all that remained was for steps to be undertaken for producing artificial clouds, particularly in the Negev.
