Transports of approximately 20-30 persons each are leaving Poland daily for Israel via the Italian port of Bari, it was reported here today. Some reports reaching here state that Israel-bound Polish Jews may have to wait for transportation in Bari for as long as six weeks.

Because of the heavy increase in the number of applications for Israel visas, the immigration department of the Israel Consulate here recently had to rent additional quarters to handle the volume of work. It was announced today that a special train carrying 400 Polish Jews proceeding to Israel via Italy will leave here early in December.
