A report on the achievements of the United Lubavitcher Yeshivoth during the past decade since their establishment in this country was made public today by Rabbi S. Gourary, chairman of the executive committee. An annual dinner marking the completion of ten years of activity by the Lubavitcher Yeshivoth in the U.S. will be held here Feb. 5, 1950, it was announced.
The report points out that branches of the Lubavitcher Yeshivoth have been opened in “various cities and towns to make Jewish religious instruction available to all.” The establishment of Israel, it was noted, has resulted in expanded activities on the part of the Yeshivoth in the new state, including the purchase of new buildings in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
