A protest against the recent developments in Poland, where all foreign Jewish organizations have been forced to cease their activities, has been voiced by the Anglo-Jewish Association, it was reported here last night at a meeting of the Association’s Council. However, it was emphasized that nothing practical could be done at this time by Jews of western countries.

Mr. Roland Landman, chairman of the foreign affairs committee of the Association, said that the organization is seeking further information on the position of the Jews in Iraq. He also reported on the rise of anti-Semitism in Austria.

The annual meeting of the Consultative Council of Jewish Organizations concluded here last night, adopting a budget for the new year and approving the annual report presented by the Council’s secretary, Moses Moskowitz.
