The Jewish community here celebrated this week the reopening of the Jewish Club which offers facilities for social and sports activities. The community’s Club, built in 1905, was destroyed by Japanese bombs in 1941. The Hong Kong synagogue, which occupied a site adjacent to that of the Club, escaped damage during the war.
