7,000 Israel Families Open Doors to Immigrant Children During Rainy Season

Over 7,000 families in various parts of Israel have volunteered to receive immigrant children from the transit camps for the duration of the rainy season, it was announced here today. About 1,500 children have already been evacuated from camps to private homes.

Sixty water pipes which were recently stolen by Egyptians near Yad Mordechai were returned to Israel Army officers by Egyptian officers at a special meeting near the border Tuesday, it was announced today. The Egyptians reported that they had arrested the thieves and confiscated the pipes, but owing to the heavy rainfall they were unable to settle the matter earlier.
