The Finance Ministry put $20,000 in foreign currency at the disposal of the Israel shipping company, Patria, today, for the transport of the first thousand pilgrims from Rome to Israel.
The Protestant cemetery on Mount Zion, Jerusalem, will be returned to the Anglican Church after repairs are completed, it was announced today. The cemetery was damaged during the Palestine war when the Arab Legion attempted to advance beyond it. The Ministry of Religion said the decision to repair the cemetery was not an admission of responsibility for the damage.
