Pelley, “silver Shirts” Founder, Gets Parole; Was Sentenced to 15 Years for Sedition

The U.S. Parole Board decided today to free william Dudley Pelley, founder of the Silvor Shirts of America and a leading anti-Semitic rabblerouser, He will be paroled from the U.S. Penitentiary at Terre Haute, Ind., on Feb, 14.

Pelley’s release follows an intense propaganda campaign waged in his behalf by many hate organizations. A U.S. Court convicted him on 11 counts of criminal wartime sedition in 1942. His sentence was for 15 years’ imprisonment,
