Rudolf Feigle, a Communist leader in the Czechoslovak Jewish community, has “disappeared,” according to reports from Prague reaching here today.

Feigle played a leading role in the “purge” of Czecholovak Jewish leaders after the Communists seized power in February, 1948. He was a member of the Jewish Actions Committee which ordered the dismissal of religious and Zionist leaders from top positions in the Jewish community.

Feigle is said to have opposed the emigration of Czech Jews to Israel and was also to some extent responsible for the recent “disposal” of Jewish property in Czechoslovakia.
