Six communal leaders from various parts of Rumania have been removed from the central committee of the Jewish Democratic Committee, it was officially announced here today. The reason for their replacement on the body was given as failure to carry on activity within the framework of the Committee.

The Superior Rabbinical Council, highest Jewish religious authority in Rumania, has unanimously adopted a motion appealing to Jews throughout this country to participate in the nationwide peace campaign being conducted by the government. The Council will circulate among all rabbis in Rumania a speech by Chief Rabbi Moses Rosen stressing the duty of all rabbis to contribute to the fight for peace and against the “Anglo-American warmongers who attempt to throw mankind into another world war.”
