Last Group of Yugoslav Jews Arrive in Israel; 700 Immigrants Come from Poland, Austria

The last contingent of Yugoslav Jews who wish to settle in the Jewish state landed at Haifa yesterday aboard the S.S. Artzah. Among the 400 Jews who arrived here from Yugoslavia was Dr. David Alkalai, president of the Yugoslav Jewish Community.

A total of 743 Jewish immigrants arrived in Israel from the port of Venice on Friday aboard the Israel transport, S.S. Galila, it was disclosed today. Most of the immigrants came from Poland and Austria.
