Ilse Koch Given Psychiatric Examination; Her Trial Will Open in May in a German Court

Ilse Koch, infamous Nazi war criminal, has been given a psychiatric examination at the Guenzburg Hospital and has been returned to her prison at Aichach, it was learned here today. The results of the examination have not been made public. They will be reported at her trial which is now scheduled to open before a German court in May.

The first trial under the article of the denazification laws forbidding necfascist activity opened here today before the chief denazification court of Bavaria. The defendant is Karl Feitenbanal, organizer and chairman of the “Fatherland Union” which has become a rallying point for former Gestapo and Nazi Party members. The prosecutor has asked the court to declare Feitanbanal a major offender under the denazification code and to prohibit his participation in politics.
