Arab terrorists tossed a bomb last night at the American legation in Damascus, Syria, slightly wounding a U.S. marine guard. The explosion shattered doors and windows in the building.

The terrorists escaped before the police arrived at the legation. It is assumed that the bomb was thrown as a result of the anti-American propaganda now being conducted in Syria by agents of the ex-Mufti of Jerusalem who are trying to create the impression that the U.S. is helping Israel against the Arabs.
