A call to American Jews to help Israel “in the battle to cure her economic ills” and to assist in the “laying of a sound foundation for the economic life and the development of the country” was voiced today by Dr. Dov Joseph, Israel’s Minister of Supply and Rationing, prior to his return to Israel.

Dr. Joseph also said in a statement issued at the Idlewild Airport that through continued support of the United Jewish Appeal the American people can hasten the coming of peace in the Middle East.
