Brig. Yaacov Dori, former Chief of Staff of the Israel Army, was today appointed head of the scientific department attached to the Premier’s office. He will be responsible for coordinating practical scientific research in Israel vis-a-vis the Jewish state’s armed forces. The department will also aid in the establishement of new industrial enterprises aimed at strengthening the new state’s security.
