Organized Communist propaganda against the United States is being conducted in Arab countries in connection with the Korean situation, it was reported here today from Cairo. The propaganda is finding fertile ground among the younger Arabs, especially among the Arab refugees from Palestine, the report said.

British observers in the Middle East, particularly those connected with British oil interests, are greatly perturbed over the fact that the pro-Communist and anti-American propaganda is growing in strength among the Arabs. They are afraid that should any hostilities develop in the Middle East, local Arabs may sabotage and damage the pipelines carrying oil from Iraq and Saudi Arabia to Mediterranean ports.

According to press reports here, Arab refugees from Palestine are being told by propagandists that Israel is considered by the Soviet Government as an “outpost of American imperialism.” It is under the impact of this propaganda that the Palestinian Arabs are inclined to believe that a Soviet invasion of the Middle East would bring about a change in the Palestine situation from which they would benefit.
