Argentine Jews Are Urged to Permit Their Children to Immigrate to Jewish State

Argentine Jews were urged today to permit their children to immigrate to Israel for permanent settlement there. The suggestion was made by Meir Grossman, member of the Jewish Agency executive, now on a visit here in the interests of the United Jewish Appeal.

Addressing a mass meeting arranged by the United Jewish Appeal, the Jewish Agency leader expressed the opinion that “only timid Jews speak about double loyalty, while Gentiles understand the situation.” He expressed the belief that in the field of international politics, Israel should take a stand similar to that taken by the Scandinavian countries.

Mr. Grossman especially appealed to Argentine Jewry to contribute to all fundraising drives for Israel institutions and to support midle-class projects in the Jewish state through private capital investments. He emphasized that the Zionist movement in Argentina must be strengthened.
