A Haifa branch of the Israel United Nations Association was organized here today by a number of prominent residents of the city. Among the founders were: Mayor Shabhai Levi; Abba Chushi, Knesset deputy and head of the local labor council, and David Hacohen, general manager of Solel Boneh, the Histadrut’s construction cooperative.
The Jerusalem U.N. Association will be represented at the forthcoming conference of the World Federation of United Nations Associations by Mayor Daniel Auster, Prof. Aryieh Tartakower, Yeshaiahu Persner and Daniel Sher. A branch of the organization also exists in Tel Aviv.
