The Executive Council of Australian Jewry, central representative body of the Jews of this continent, today issued a call to all Jews to give active support to a campaign which the Council will soon launch against the admission of Germans as immigrants.

In its “call to action,” the Council declared that the Australian Jewish community has learned “with consternation” of the plan to admit large numbers of Volks deutsche German refugees from Eastern Europe. The Council labelled the plan a “menace to Australian democracy and to Australian Jewry’s security.”
