Israel Minister to London Confers with British Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs

Israel Minister Eliahu Elath and British Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Ernest Davies had their first meeting last week, it was officially disclosed today. Topics covered in their hour-long conversation, which was held Thursday, were not revealed.

George McGhee, United States Assistant Secretary of State in charge of Middle Eastern Affairs, called at the Foreign Office today for informal talks on Middle Eastern questions. He conferred with Michael Wright, Assistant Under-Secretary for Middle Eastern Affairs.

Secretary McGhee will have further talks at the Foreign and Colonial Offices this week prior to his departure for Tangier to attend a conference of American Middle Eastern consular officials.
