More Jewish Social Democratic Party Members Arrested in Hungary’s Purge of Socialists

Several additional Jewish members of the former Hungarian Social Democratic Party were recently arrested in the government’s purge of Socialist leaders, according to reports received here. They include Oliver Steinberg, director of the Budapest Board of Electricity; Alexander Szalai, a university professor; and Joseph Kalman and Mrs. Erno Hajdu, both members of the Budapest City Council.
