Sacred Soil from Jerusalem is Sent to Jewish Burial Societies in United States

Ten thousand small sacks of soil from Mt. Zion have been dispatched to the United States to Jewish burial societies for the graves of orthodox Jews to whom this soil is sacred.

Director-General A. Cahane of the Ministry of Religions, announced the dispatch at ceremonies on Mt. Zion concluding month-long celebrations there. He also announced that 300 Scrolls of the Law and 2,000 Bibles, rescued from Yemen, had arrived in Israel by ship from Aden.
