Rabbi David Lefkowitz of Shreveport, La., has been elected National Chaplain of the American Legion at its convention here. Rabbi Lefkowitz, who was unopposed for the office, was an Army chaplain in the last war and served as Louisiana Department chaplain of the Legion in 1947-48.
