Reports current here said today that President Truman has named John W. Gibson, former Secretary of Labor, as chairman of the Displaced Persons Commission, to succeed Ugo Carusi, who reportedly has resigned.
A Michigan resident, Mr. Gibson was president of the Michigan Industrial Council of the C.I.O. before entering government service. Other members of the DP Commission are Harry N. Rosenfield and Edward M. O’Connor.
