Postmaster General Zvi Prihar of Israel revealed today that the International Postal Union, with headquarters in Berne, Switzerland, is making a second protest to the Egyptian Government against the confiscation of several mail bags destined for Israel.

The mail pouches–containing mail from the United States, Britain, Spain, Argentina and other countries–were seized when a plane carrying the mail made a forced landing in Egyptian-held territory in the Gaza strip. The protest urges the Egyptians to turn the mail bags over to the Israelis.
