Harry Friedgut has been appointed national director of the American Friends of the Hebrew University, according to an announcement by Dr. Israel Wechsler, president of the national organization. For the past six years Mr. Friedgut has been director of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America in Los Angeles.
Equipment for poliomyelitis research has been purchased and shipped to the Hebrew University in Jerusalem by the New York Chapter of the American Friends of the Hebrew University as a step incombatting the disease in Israel, it was announced here today.
