An Israel trade mission arrived here to begin trade talks with the Belgian Government. It is understood that Belgium is prepared to give Israel preferential treatment in order to enable Israel firms to purchase Belgian products.

Under such a sch## Belgian exporters would sell to Israel firms which would pay in promissory notes of five to ten years duration. Both the Belgian and Israel Governments would undertake to guarantee the notes. If the scheme is approved, commercial circles here expect the Israelis to place immediate orders for some 2,000,000 pounds ($5,600,000) worth of orders.
