Col. Katzin, South African Jew, is Named Director of United Nations Relief in Korea

The appointment of Col. Alfred G. Katz in, South African Jew who has been serving in Korea as U.N. Secretary-General Trygve Lie’s personal representative, as “Agent General” in Korea was announced here during the week-end. Col. Katzin will direct the entire U.N. relief and rehabilitation program in Korea until the General Assembly approves machinery for the administration of Korea relief and reconstruction.
