Chanukah gifts totalling about $200,000 were turned over to the Jewish National Fund by several West Coast communities celebrating the Festival of Lights and the Fund’s golden jubilee. Jewish communities participating in the festivities included Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Sacramento, Oakland and Petaluma. Speakers included U.S. Senator Owen Brewster, Rep. Franklin Roosevelt, Dr. Max Nussbaum, Rabbi Irving Miller and Rabbi Sol White.
