The Farmers Association here today presented the Israel Government with an ultimatum threatening to halt harvesting of the citrus fruit ##op throughout the country immediatedly unless the government grants them subsidies.
The growers seek compensation of approximately $10,000,000 to cover losses of this season suffered in connection with the sale of citrus products abroad. These accesses, the Farmers Association asserts, are due to the intensive competition in foreign markets.
