A check for 1,140,000 pesos has been turned over to the Eva Person Social Welfare Foundation by Argentine Jewish industrialists and businessmen, it was announced here today.
The money, collected by the Buenos Aires Jewish Chamber of Commerce, was given to the First Lady of Argentina at an interview with her. Mme. Peron praised the Jewish community and the pro-Peronist Organization Israelita Argentina, which sponsored the fund-raising effort.
