Hashomer Hatzair Youths Constituted 35 Percent of All Chalutzim Who Left U.S. for Israel

No less than 35 percent of all Chalutzim who left the United States for Israel in the last two and one-half years were members of the Hashomer Hatzair, it was revealed here at a three-day session of the national council of the Hashomer Hatzair Youth Movement of the United States and Canada which concluded last night. The session, at which representatives from 25 branches of the movement were present, was addressed by Dr. Nahum Goldman, chairman of the American section of the Jewish Agency, and by Zvi Lurie, member of the Jewish Agency executive.
