The DATA, central representative body of Argentine Jews has again protested to the government against anti-Jewish propaganda by the pro-fascist Alliance Libertadora Hacionalista. The protest was immediately backed editorially by the Yiddishe Zeitung, one of the two major Jewish newspapers in the country.

The Alianza has posted cartoons on walls throughout the city asserting that it is backing President Juan Peron. “in the fight against the Jewish Marxist enemies.” Both the DATA and the Yiddishe Zeitung pointed out that President Peron has frequently repudiated all forms of racialism and that this attempt to make anti-Semitism respectable through use of his name is an offense to the President as well as to the Jewish community of Argentina.
