Jewish Soldier Selected As “typical Enlisted Man of the Year” by Army Authorities

Pfo. Harry Dessner, 20-year-old Philadelphian who lost an eye fighting in Korea, was selected here as the “typical enlisted man of the year” by the authorities of the Brook Army Hospital. He was wounded 22 days after arriving in Korea. Following surgery, a plastic eye will replace the one he lost on the Korean battlefront.
