The Israel Parliament last night adopted a six-month budget of 78,430,000 pounds ($220,000,000) after a session which lasted throughout the day. Presenting the budget for approval, David Pinchas, chairman of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, declared that it had been balanced in such fashion as to virtually eliminated all expenditures which might intensify the inflation.

The budget is divided into two parts: the first calls for 43,430,000 pounds for ordinary expenditures; the second is a 35,000,000 appropriation for capital developments to aid in the absorption of new immigrants, including the construction of new immigrant work villages, exploitation of water and mineral resources and the expansion of agriculture and industry.
