Ben Gurion Will Bring Greetings to Truman; is Due to Arrive in New York on May 3rd

Israel Prime Minister David Ben Durion will bring Israel’s greetings to President Truman and will meet with leading officials of the American Government during his stay in Washington, the Israel Embassy announced today. He will arrive in New York with his wife on May 3rd for a three-week visit.

The Embassy said Mr. Ben Gurion will convey to President Truman and the American people an expression of gratitude from the people of Israel for the sympathy and support extended to them in their struggle for independence. The Israeli Premier will convey Israel’s appreciation to American Jewry for its moral and material aid.

The State of Israel “Independence Bond Issue” will be launched with the Prime Minister’s participation during his visit, which will cover Washington, New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, and Los Angeles. Mr. Ben Gurion will view various American development projects during the visit.
