Two Turkish weeklies which have recently been publishing large quantities of anti-Semitic propaganda have been closed by the authorities on the grounds that their editorial line is “hostile” to the principles laid down by Kemal Attaturk, founder of the Turkish Republic.

The ultra-nationalist publications have been charging the Jews with being “internationalists,” “Communists” and “imperialists.” They have published much material inspired by the Nazi hate sheet “Der Stuermer.”
