A decision to form a Fellowship of Jewish Writers and Journalists in Australia was taken last night at a meeting here. The new group will “aim to uphold the dignity and standard of Jewish journalism and literature, to protect the ethics of writers and journalists consistent with the interests of the Jewish community, and to educate the Jewish public to the value of the Jewish press as an essential medium for a well-informed public opinion.”
A public meeting commemorating the eighth anniversary of the revolt in the Warsaw Ghetto was held here under the auspices of the New South Wales Jewish Board of Deputies.
