The outlook for the success of Israel’s Independent Bonds drive now under way in the United States is "brighter than expected," David Horowitz, Director General of the Minister of Finance, reported to the Cabinet today.

Mr. Horowitz also reported on the steps taken by the Israel Government in Washington, London and Paris in connection with its request for compensation from ### many for Nazi-looted Jewish property. The Cabinet meeting was conducted under the chairmanship of Moshe Sharett, Israel’s Foreign Minister, who is serving as Acting Premier in the absence of Premier David Ben Gurion.
