Judge Joseph M. Levine, New York City magistrate and civic and communal leader, and Commander Joshua L. Goldberg, Chaplain for the Third Naval District of the U.S. Navy, today received honorary degrees at the 25th commencement and ordination exercises of the New York school of the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. Thirteen members of the senior class were ordained as rabbis by Dr. Nelson Glueck, president of the College-Institute.
