The Synagogue Council of America, the over-all body representing Orthodox, Conservative and Reform Judaism in this country, has elected Rabbi Simon G. Kramer of New York City as its president for the ensuing year, 1951-52. Rabbi Kramer was ordained at the Hebrew Theological College of Chicago in 1925.
