Dr. Samuel M. Blumenfield, member of the Chicago Board of Jewish Education, today said here that in addressing the convention of the National Council for Jewish Education, which took place last week in Cleveland, he did not urge that communal education should take precedence over congregational.
“Indeed I stressed the need for Jewish educators to pay closer and greater attention to the congregational school than they have done hitherto,” he said. “I did urge the need for a wholesome program of Jewish education rather than indoctrination in institutional denominationalism.”
